Sgt Joe Sheehan was drafted into the Army on his
20th birthday. After training at Fort Ord, Ca., he was
flown to Japan - boarded a troop ship in Yokohama, bound
for Inchon.
Arrived at the 1st Bn., late summer of
52, while the Bn. was camped along the river at Kapyong. He
was assigned to Charley Company, 1st Battalion, 223rd Inf
Regt, and later on was transfered to Hq Company. He
remained with the 1st Bn, until after the truce, and then
shipped home. Discharged - Fort Lewis, Wa. - Dec. 53.If
