Maj.Curley Knepp, USA, Ret. is working
for the USAF in Korea. He was
present as well as participated in the dedication of
the USAF Memorial to the first 6 men KIA in Korea at
the start of the war. This dedication was held at
Osan AB, Korea in the latter part of June 2000. Some
photos of the dedication are on this page.

speaker. Gen Heflebower is the 7th AF Commander as
well as Commander of the Air Component Command.
LT.GEN Kim, Deputy Commander of the Air Component

Wing.
COL.Lewis Millett Sr. USA,Ret. Col Millett was
awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor for actions
on Hill 180 which is located on Osan AB.

Rain or shine, there ia a memorial service
at the Task Force Smith Memorial on July 5 every year.
Task Force Smith was first organized
unit of personnel that engaged the enemy in the
early part of the Korean War. The main speaker at this
years service was GEN Thomas Swartz. Also speaking was Col
Philip Day,USA,Ret. Col Day was a member of Task Force
Smith.
